When designing a room, I am all about cohesiveness and flow. But I am really drawn to having a strong focal point, or statement piece, in a room that catches your attention and draws your eye. Like the armoire above, a beautiful, but strong, piece can really change the whole look and feeling of a room. Obviously not all rooms need a statement piece, but larger rooms that can accommodate it can look amazing. Below are a few examples of how one piece can bring together a room.
